インドの伝統では、先生へのお礼の事をダクシナといいます。いわゆるドネーションや無料のクラスとは姿勢が異なります。

クラスの終了後に渡すのが通例です。

 

足りない、満たされない私を埋めるために、外側にあるものを取り続けることから、与え、社会に最大限貢献していくことで、初めて人は心を成長させていくことができるとヴェーダでは教えられています。

 

ダクシナは、お金という形で自分が出来る最大限の姿勢を、貢献という形で、受講者（生徒）が先生に表現する行為です。

通常支払われている価値と貢献をのせて与えることで心を成長させていきます。

教えの理解には、生徒自身がいかに心を成長させることができるかにかかっています。

 

聖なる学びは、先生から「知識」を授かるプージャー（儀式）とも呼ばれます。

ダクシナはそのプージャー（儀式）の一環であり、ダクシナをして初めて「教えを得る」ということが完結となります。

 

この世界の真実を明かす知識を受けとり、理解することができる開いた心を育むための「行為」でもあります。

「行為」は必ず結果を生みます。純粋な気持ちで渡すものには、純粋な結果が返ってきます。

カルマの法則においても、ダクシナをする事は、プンニャ（徳）を積む行為でもあります。

 

インドの伝統の学びの中で、内側の成長を促してくれるのがダクシナです。

知識に人生を捧げ、私たちに知識や吉兆を与えてくれるサンニャーシン(僧侶)や、

ヴェーダの祭司の生活は今もなおダクシナによって守られているのです。

***About Dakshina***

In Indian tradition, Dakshina is the act of expressing gratitude to a teacher.

It differs from typical donations or free classes.

 

It is customary to give Dakshina after the class ends.

The Vedas teach that one's heart can only grow by giving and contributing to society to the fullest extent, rather than constantly taking external things to fill a void or feeling unfulfilled.

 

Dakshina is an act in which the student expresses their utmost attitude and contribution to the teacher through money.

By giving with the value and contribution usually paid, one fosters spiritual growth.

 

Understanding the teachings depends on how much the student can cultivate their own heart.

Sacred learning is also called Puja (ritual), where "knowledge" is bestowed from the teacher.

 

Dakshina is part of this Puja (ritual), and only after performing Dakshina is the "receiving of teachings" complete.

It is also an "act" to cultivate an open mind that can receive and understand the knowledge that reveals the truth of this world.

 

"Actions" inevitably produce results. Pure intentions bring pure results in return.

In the law of karma, performing Dakshina is also an act of accumulating Punya (virtue).

In the traditions of Indian learning, Dakshina promotes inner growth.

 

The lives of Sannyasins (priests) who dedicate their lives to knowledge and bestow upon us knowledge and good fortune,

and the lives of Vedic priests are still protected by Dakshina.
